Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

If a church alone is the interface between you and God it is unlikely that you will experience the full development of your potential in Christ. All are called to be a priest/king in His house. Growing into this is dependent on your personal mentoring by Jesus. Churchism can multiply conformists. Only Jesus can sculpt sons and daughters for God.

If Jesus is our life we will be who we are and not someone else. Hidden in Christ we will be the living expression of our real self. That which people see in the drama of life will be our authentic self. We will not be a clone of some star, leader, celebrity preacher or self-appointed apostle. We will be crafted in Christ to be ourselves and to live out our personal vision and purpose for being. Thus Paul writes,

‘I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead’ Gal 1.1 NLT.

Genuine ministry is always an extension of who we are. It’s not something we acquire or put on like an overcoat. Authentic ministry is the expression of our being – which is why our being needs to be seated in Christ if we are to impart life and fulfill the purposes for which we have been created and redeemed.

When an individual lives, moves and has their being in Jesus they are seated in the Father where they are truly daughters and sons. Like Jesus they do only what the Father intends for them to do and they fulfill all that the Father intends for them. They are an expression of the Father’s heart.

‘I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do’
John 17.4 NIV.

Strictly speaking there is no such thing as ‘my ministry.’ There is Christ’s life expressed as you, which contrasts greatly with the idol of ‘my ministry’ so often touted as God’s gift to mankind. We get to be a life-giving spirit when we are personally the expression of Jesus Christ. To be hidden in Jesus is to live openly as our genuine selves, free from artifice, conceit and pretense. When a fool becomes king people grind their teeth. When the glory of a humble person is revealed people rejoice because they have seen a piece of God.

Apostles of various kinds existed before there were apostles of Christ. To be a genuine apostle of the Kingdom we must be hidden in Christ and seated in the Father. Apostles of religion flap in the wind. But those for whom Christ is life release eternal and infinite life – with little effort and a lot of sacrifice.

We are all privileged to advance the Kingdom of God. We do this by living in the Spirit as sons; by living in the union with God that is ours. We do this by being mentored by Jesus, taught by the Holy Spirit and hearing God’s voice accurately. The foundation of Kingdom ministry as a son is living for the Father; loving Father and living to express His heart and will. Not our will but His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Kingdom ministry is never about us. Fruitful ministry is always Christ in you. When Christ is our life we minister the Kingdom of God simply by being ourselves. There is no such thing as the clonedom of God. But there is an ever expanding Kingdom of God’s daughters and sons.

‘He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water’ Rev 14.7NIV.
