Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

The full expression of Jesus in the world is you and all who believe in Jesus - when we are living in our inheritance of union with God. We need to be clear on this. God’s gift to us is not a method - not a way by which any or every Christian value might be included in our repertoire of ‘goodness.’ The gift of heaven to us is Christ’s life as ours. Our in that we are graced in that His humanity stands for our humanity in relation to God. And graced from the incarnation - from the fact that we are indwelt by the trinity and they share who and what they are into our being.

Again this is not an expression of ‘Christianity as a religion’ in us. This is Jesus’ person manifesting as you. No Letitia. We are not divine. But guess what? We are the manifestation of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The fullness of Jesus in you comes from the fullness of His person and His gospel received by the Believer. It is necessary to believe in the real Jesus and all the things He has done - by which we mean the apostles teaching in its new covenant simplicity. We cannot expect to find healing in the natural if we go to a different specialist to the one experts advise and or only practice two thirds of the cure a specialist suggests. Certain gospels are like going to a vet when you are human being!

‘They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer’ Acts 2.42 NIV.

Why the apostles teaching? This is the teaching primarily of Paul and John, the main teaching apostles. Paul was uniquely equipped to lead the way out of legalism into Christ as our life. John was a gifted communicator who used metaphor to home in on the fact of new creation life: ‘Those who eat Jesus live because of Jesus’ and ‘unless we eat His flesh and drink His blood we have no life in us whatsoever.’ Clearly this is living out of Christ. It’s
we and Christ are one stuff - not living from the law or from religion or from a social gospel.

Christ our life is the deep well of water that is our life and anything of eternal value we have for others. This mystery of Godliness - of the incarnation and the interweaving of the sons of God with being of God is not only the source of your life. It is the deep spring of anything of value that we have for others. Fatherhood and Sonship is the reality compared to which anything else is a shadow.

I am not a politician or the son of one, so I do not feel constrained to subdue the starkness of this truth by diluting it so it may rest comfortably those bedded down in religion. We need no longer appease the sellers of religion. They are blind guides. Jesus cast them out in all their forms by His cross and resurrection. The reality is Christ and He lives in us.

‘This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God’
1 John 4.2 NIV.

This incarnation is the key fact of the age. A consequence of the cross it joins us to the extravagant life that flows from the trinity. More important than the gifts, the incarnation is the soil from which they spring. Living, moving and having our being in God is the present reality. The reality of Christ come in our flesh and our being surrounded by the life and persons of heaven is our inheritance as daughters and sons.

Should we avail ourselves of the fullness of this inheritance - Christ come in our flesh - we can to get a right perspective and move from shadows into the reality that is Christ and the life of heaven come among us. Now we see the threadbare nature of formulae like prayer and Bible study and the fantasy of imagining we have a life in God because we go to church. Now we have fullness of life because Christ is our life and He is all and in all. We have become overwhelmed by life!

‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14,20.
