Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

Any instrument we rely on, that is less than Christ diminishes our knowledge of God and shrivels our humanity. By ‘instruments’ we mean the law, all externalities and motions designed to manufacture godliness for ourselves. As appalling as it may seem to the religious mind the religious are not Godly. They are just religious.

I know people who are no longer Believers, even though they spent much of their early life as diligent performers. They were loyal conformists and humanitarian workers – as were their parents. So why did they throw over not only religion, but the Christ. My suspicious is that they knew religion, but they did not know the Christ.

Attach to a personal Jesus and He will undo all that is crooked and mistaken.

‘A voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him’ Mark 1.3 NIV.

Our great advantage in the new testament age is that we are objectively part of the being of God. In order to be filled with His spirit and life we need to be subjectively one with the being of God – by right belief, otherwise known as sound doctrine. Doctrine is not God and can often become our pseudo-god. But right belief is the foundation of our relationship with God. Satan’s initial attack was to insinuate a distortion of Father’s nature and intent. Truth is both a person and the living word. Truth sets us free from crooked mindsets that separate us in our minds from God and from the reality of the belonging He has achieved for us.

Christian Kettler, quoting Torence writes, “
Christ is so one with God that what he did God did, and so one with us that what he did we did.” (1) This is astonishing but true and way above the religious notions of God and ourselves that we carry like sad and wet tomato sandwiches in our. lunch boxes. The truth is much better and more radical.

We are joined to the family of God not only because of what Jesus has done. We are joined forever because of who and what Jesus is. He is part of God and we are part of Him. This is the undoing of the fall and the undoing of separated Adam. Adam has been replaced by the Last Adam who is ‘Christ our life.’

He is you, so to speak. Jesus is us all. To see Jesus is to see yourself. To be yourself in Him is to be a son of God in spirit and in truth. In Christ you are always in fellowship with God. You are always yourself. Always part of His being and always part of the community of daughters and sons.
