Avoid Other Gospels like the plague they are. We need a view of God that is undiluted and un-encrusted by the ideas of man. The Bible reveals that the old testament ideas of God were partial and in many cases deficient. Life in the knowledge of good and evil has corrupted our vision of God and our concept of ourselves. Only in Christ are these veils taken away. How important then to be possessed by the Christ of God rather than a self-constructed christ that is a vain imagining arrived at by way of cunningly devised fables.
'For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ' John 1.17 NIV. Jesus is not subsumed under Moses. Moses is subordinate to Jesus.
God cannot be known through the law. Neither can you or any of us. God is revealed, then known and experienced in Jesus. There is a dichotomy in the verse above but it is not between grace and truth. It is between law and Jesus. Grace and truth is entirely of the new covenant. Law lived out since the cross is delusionary.
We are being told that an authentic view of Father cannot be found in the knowledge of good and evil and its sub-set, the law of Moses. Jesus is the full expression of the Father. Grace and truth, far from being abstractions are the God who is love. He is love. Not Mr. Demand, Sir Performance or the Emperor of You're Not Good Enough. He is the God who loves you and who takes delight in who we are and who we are becoming in Him.
God has made every provision for you unification and fellowship with Himself in Christ. This is the vicarious humanity of Jesus and what Paul called Christ your life.
The knowledge of good and evil and the law with it, is an abstraction. Live in this morass and you will be insulated from God and from yourself. GOD IS ULTRA PERSON and therefore personable. The empathy that exists between members of the trinity is now yours in Jesus. This is why to know God in Himself is to know you as you are. Live from the kind of abstraction that flows from The Tree and we deny ourselves the empathy with God that is ours and empathy with others who have made Jesus their life. Law insulates us from God, dulls our being and blurs our discernment. Far from elevating us, law dehumanizes us and bogs us in condemnation and a critical spirit.
Grace is not a ploy to enable us to keep the law. Grace is Christ’s life as yours. This is Gal 2.20, the new covenant and the incarnation. It’s the engine of the new creation.
Jesus has declared who Father is and continues to do so through the ministry of Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus lived to make Father known, so Holy Spirit lives to make Jesus and the Father known. Any heart who desires Jesus above all else will know the truth about our Father. Any heart divided between Jesus and their ‘other husbands’ will wallow in confusion and dullness of being.
In the old testament the people of God were rebuked for walking with their backs to God and urged to seek God's face. Today Jesus is the new and living way of seeing Father's face and the only way Father's face can be seen and known. To see Jesus is to see Father. Jesus is the human face of God and is present within us to reveal Him to each of us in our unique identity and circumstance.
Jeff Turner writes, 'Jesus as the word is the Father's declaration of Himself.'
'I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire' Luke 3.16 NIV.
The fire of God not only anoints. It edifies. The Father of lies began our disempowerment by lying about Father and then about our status as sons. All that is false and deadening about our impressions of Father and ourselves is uprooted in Jesus. One reason for His baptizing with His own fire is to burn OUR VEILS away by the Spirit of revelation.
The persons of Jesus and the Holy Spirit are critical to our accurate knowledge of God. The gospel of the Kingdom is the Kingdom of Father and His Sons. Sons live in the Son of God. The complete and final exposition of the gospel of the Kingdom is found in the apostle's doctrine.
This delineation of truth is linked to breaking bread because the bread is the symbol of our life in God: The incarnation of the trinity in us. The apostles doctrine is the one authoritative interpretation of the Bible. Here the contours of God's mysterious plan is revealed firstly as Christ and secondly as Christ in us. The scripture below is not just some declaration about eternal life. This is about the infinite resurrection life of Jesus within us today and every day.
'To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory' Col 1.27 NIV.
Many Christians live in the illusion that they live in the Spirit when they are tied to the letter by erroneous denominational assumptions. Its tragic to be floundering along in the letter when you have convinced yourself you are in the Spirit. If we adhere to even one of the ten commandments we are in the law and not in the Spirit.
By the Spirit of Sonship the eyes of our hearts are opened to accurately know God and ourselves. Because of the Holy Spirit we are not orphans but sons in spirit and in truth. In Christ we are joined to God and come to know Father as He is. The real gospel is always the truth about Father and the reality and privilege of our position in Him as His daughters and sons. The Kingdom of God proceeds and comes forth in the authority of sons – sons who are sons in spirit and in truth. The Kingdom is birthed into the world by the Bride of Christ from the Seed of The Son. The sons of God birth the new creation.
Good seed comes from God's Son. Bad seed is the sowing of other gospels at the hand of the evil one. Don’t be among those who have given their lives and have made a career by promoting other gospels as if they are God’s truth. They are tares. The sons of God live from the teaching of God and the doctrine of the apostles. They produce Kingdom fruit.
'It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown' Luke 8.8 NIV.
'The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one' Matt 13.38 NIV.
CALCIFICATION OF LIFE
In the law, truth becomes an abstraction. It is a lifeless entity purveyed by dull people trapped in a belief system that insulates them from God. In the Spirit truth is the person of Jesus who manifests in you. Truth is the person of Christ as your life. Now truth has become you. Here truth is witnessed by the Son and the Father through us. We are now vessels of spirit and life. Truth is realized as us because we are in God. Life is released by us because we are true. When Christ is our life we manifest the truth of the Father and the Son. We are the sons of God and we minister His Kingdom. We are His agents of the new creation.
