Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

Signs and wonders are not the essence of the Kingdom of God. They are an evidence of it but not the core. There is a core that is available to all. This is Christ in you – the currency of which is the fullness of the godhead living in your body. This is your inheritance. Not something you must earn. Jesus earned it for you. So just live where He has positioned you and your life will manifest the spirit of sonship.

‘To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory’ Col 1.27 NIV.

Grace is meant to enable us to live in the truth - not to dismiss or ignore it. Grace is the condition for the enlargement of our vision and the expansion of our spiritual being.
Right belief is there for a reason. It is the door to life and it is life. Grace will not alleviate the effects of living out of alignment with what the divine conspiracy has achieved for us in Jesus.

Which is why we should incorporate what Joseph Prince is saying in his book,
The Power of Right Believing into our lives. This is a message for the entire performance ridden church. But not so that we can do less. So that what we do is ignited with the resurrecting presence of Jesus.

‘Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them’ John 7.38 NIV.

I have seen the limiting effects on those who move into the Spirit filled life with their heads still in the law and old covenant.  The fullness of Christ remains outside their reach and they remain the children of the slave woman. The Spiritual authority of Jesus originated from His place in His Father. So does ours. Our place in Father’s love is guaranteed because of our place in Jesus and what He has done. Never from what we have done. Father says, ‘Your place is in my arms because of my Son.’

Communities of faith can begin in the Spirit, flourish for a season and then fade. They fade because the issue that limits them has never been dealt with. They are children of
another gospel. The gifts of the Spirit do not last unless we are alive in the Spirit which means to be rooted in God. This ‘rootedness’ is our new covenant reality. The reality in which we and our Father are one. This is the solidity of our infinite life in God and the setting of having the Spirit without limit - forever.

In the new covenant the trinity is in us and we are in the trinity. We are marinated in community. Our place in Jesus and thus in God determines the quality of community that is ours. Unless we are in God and not in the knowledge of good and evil as Gregory Boyd asserts in his book,
Repenting of Religion, we are incapable of loving unconditionally and must resort to judgment. Fellowships disintegrate for this reason. They wallow and stagnate, poisoned and unhealed from people judging and criticizing each other. Life in the Spirit is not a coat of paint over an old truck. It is a new truck called our new covenant life, or more accurately Christ our life – a life that is Jesus from first to last.

‘For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory’ Col 3.3,4 NIV.
