The Kingdom of God is built around union with God. When we form an identity in something not Jesus, we dull our identity in Jesus and smother the influence of the Spirit and our Father. This is the story of the sower, the degraded soils and the one deep soil. We cannot have two masters and be sons in spirit and in truth. We make good progress as Christians when we move a from a notional identity to a Kingdom Identity. Religion is the shadow. The reality is Christ manifest in our spirit and realized in our flesh.
‘This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God’ 1 John 4.2 NIV. The Son of God came first as Jesus of Nazareth. He came into you, to become your identity and your flesh by the incarnation and outpouring of Holy Spirit. In a real way Jesus becomes you and He becomes us all as the church.
THE KINGDOM IS SPECIFICALLY JESUS
In-dwelt by Father we become the manifestations of sons. Separated in dualisms of the law, we present as a parody of a person. Legalism makes us human neither in secular or spiritual enterprises. Yet we are always sons notionally. Sons in spirit and in truth when Christ is our life. Sons potentially when we are sons of the slave woman. The Gospel of the Kingdom is Christ all and in all. The manifestation and multiplication of Jesus in us, in our families, the church and society becomes the Kingdom of God. This the ever advancing tidal wave of the new creation.
It is not sufficient to advance the kingdom by being an adherent of christianity. But it is simply and effectively done when we are the expression of Christ. Just as Jesus was the complete expression of our Father, so we are graced to be the expression of Jesus. He lives in us. By the Spirit He becomes us. Each of us are an aspect of Him and all of us reveal His fullness - when He and not some lesser entity is our life. This is why it is important to live from our design rather than from some template others might make for us.
THE GOSPEL IS EXCLUSIVELY JESUS’ GOSPEL
There is a template for you. This is the son of man. He’s not here to fill you with bunch of characteristics. He lives to manifest Himself in you. It’s incarnation. This is life in the Spirit. Life in the Spirit is never a bunch of folks tied to the law doing some spiritual gifts. Life in the Spirit is the trinity in you manifesting through your life.
‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20. When you see this you will enter the Kingdom of God and multiply it with spirit and life.
If we have been raised in the law we might think God expresses Himself as a belief system. As such we might be overly expressed by academics and theologies. But we can be disappointed when from this source issues little spirit and life - just information and treatises in the knowledge of good and evil. God is expressed and revealed in Christ. And Christ is revealed and expressed as Jesus manifests Himself as George and Bob. This inter-woveness results in both revelation, spirit and life and streams of living water that never get to emit from fissures in the body of death.
There is no template of life other than the triune God. Life was in them and they chose to share it with us. They have never resiled from this plan and are resolved on its accomplishment. Resolved out of deep love and for the joy of our company. Father loves humanity. He does not just tolerate it. He is determined to draw all into Himself by the uplifting of His Son.
We have been placed in the fellowship of God. In Him we are free to make our own arrangements for fellowshipping with Him and each other. Just as creation originally sprang from His being, so the new creation does the same - but with resurrected glory and a new vitality that drives out all that is not alive to replace it with everlasting life.
Diluted loyalty giving rise to a divided self and confused vision is the basic effect of adultery.
The common factor in all heresies is the claim to be a legitimate expression of Christ’s gospel. We are not free to invent our own gospel, modify His gospel or make what we think are needed adjustments to the apostle’s teaching. To do so is to invite the curse of separation from God, the crippling of soul and spirit and demonic interference. The line between blessing and cursing is seen in the following scriptures.
‘But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!’ Gal 1.8 NIV.
‘Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me’ John 6.57 NIV.
