Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14,20. If you have not realised this yet, today is the day to know and live in its reality. It’s the difference between one with God notionally and one with God in actuality. Why live in shadows when the reality is that you are in God and God is in you?

The hope and the reality of new creation life is Christ in us. The new creation dawned when Jesus was born. It gathered momentum as Jesus grew up and was demonstrated by His life. It was guaranteed by His death and was declared by His resurrection. The new creation was realized when Jesus descended in the Spirit at Pentecost to be multiplied in all who believe.

When Jesus breathed on His disciples before ascending it was a symbolic act. This was a re-breathing of the Spirit of God into humans that was first seen when Father breathed His spirit-life into Adam at the first creation. If you are looking for more than a memorial of creation Jesus is it. He is both the instigator of the first creation and engine of the second.

‘In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.  The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word’ Heb 1.1-3 NIV.

'It is Christ's Spirit-life in you that is your life and your righteousness. It is Jesus incarnated in you that makes you a son in spirit and in truth. In the Spirit you are what you believe and your reality is the product of your mindset. This is why you need the mindset of the new covenant and not the old, the mindset of Christ being your life instead of you attempting Christ’s life. The latter is Christianity. The former is the Kingdom of God.

At Pentecost the ascended Christ came in the Spirit to the gathered Believers and all who take the name of Jesus. Here was the re-breathing of the life of God into God's daughters and sons. The Jesus who reigned beside the Father in heaven would reign in His people on earth. He would be their life. Joined to the Father they would live in the spirit of sonship to be sons and multiply what Jesus had begun. This includes His life to the full and the light of correct vision – known as spiritual discernment. It includes
miracles which are a sign of the reality of His new creation life breaking out from us. But it is not only His miracles. It is the life that is His, the life that John said was 'life in itself' and the One that sustains all that exists by His powerful word.

Kingdom life is multiplied from Spirit and Truth. We can teach out of the Bible. Teaching from the Bible is fine. Teaching in the Spirit is better. Here we are taking words of spirit and life. The life of God is not imparted because we have used a Bible or because we have formulated an argument. The best teaching, is the impartation of wisdom and revelation that comes from Christ in you. This is I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ lived out as ministry. Here we are competent as Kingdom ministers of the new covenant – not just notional ministers formed from the knowledge of good and evil. The latter is the great substitute, the great darkness that hollows out our witness from the inside.

We can have a belief system with Jesus added. This is our life. We are intent on promoting and maintaining this belief system in conjunction with Christ. But here we have two masters which renders us double-minded. ‘Christ your life’ means Christ exclusively your life. When Jesus is our life, the regenerating power of the new creation lives in us. Paul calls this the power that raised Jesus from the dead. But here's the point. New creation life is ours when we are alive in the Christ of God. Never in a private christ or a christ of partisan construction. Alive in the new creation Jesus we are part of the new creation. The old has gone. The new has come.

‘’Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come’ 2 Cor 5.17 NIV.

As Believers we can deny the new creation by living in the old creation. Old covenant thinking comes naturally to the natural man because it was formed in the knowledge of good and evil that Adam introduced. Only in Christ is this veil taken away. Only in the Christ of God can it be seen that what we thought was living in Christ was really living in ourselves and the Christian Stuff that we had allowed to become a 'false christ.' Only when Christ is our life are we heirs of the Kingdom and the new creation our possession.

But today is a new day. On this day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. You have begun living as the manifestation of God where you are!
