Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

We have the potential to be life giving spirits when Jesus is our life and we have not diluted Him with additions and subtractions. Let's make sure the Jesus that is ours is the Jesus who is Father's Son. If ever there was an ultra-identity Person, it is God. The words 'I AM' say it all. Life in God is found in who He is. Not in who we suppose Him to be. The subtle trick of the Enemy is to seduce us into constructing a Jesus who differs from the Christ of God so that the power of God is muffled in our lives.

Quite a bit of what God is like is found in the Bible. There are descriptions of God's patience and forgiveness in the old testament. But these are but a faint shadow of the reality of our Father as revealed in the Jesus who walked dusty roads, sat in people's houses and was crucified on the cross. Much can be learned of Jesus in the gospel accounts. Infinitely more can be received from the revelation of this same Jesus in our hearts. The Christ of God is revealed in the revelation of Jesus that occurs as the Spirit of Christ reveals Himself and our Father to the heart of the Believer. The pure in heart see God. Accretions such as pride and extraneous agenda’s dull who Christ is to us and who we are for Christ because we are double minded and have two centers to our being. Don’t be among those who spend their entire lives going in to bat for a deviant gospel.

The witness of the Spirit is the main channel of the revelation of the Father and the Son. Holy Spirit is the main Revealer of the gospel of the Kingdom and our agency as sons and daughters of God. This does not lessen the efficacy of the scriptures. But it does mean that the scriptures must be read through the Jesus lens in the anointing of the Spirit for them to mean what God means them to mean. Put aside other gospels and private interpretations if you want to know God as He is.

‘Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent’ John 17.3 NIV. Don’t be among those who get to enjoy eternal life but who lived a crippled life in the body because their christ was not the Christ of God and their gospel was not the gospel of the Kingdom.

To put one's faith in Jesus and to grant Him custody of our lives is to be constantly surrounded by His presence, inhabited by His Person and instructed by His personal revelation to us as individuals and His church. In Jesus we are sons not just because we are nice people. We are sons because the truth makes us sons in spirit.

'But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come' John 16.13 NIV.

‘Come let is reason together’ is not a reason to read the Bible in the letter or in the mechanical structures of the law and the head. Godly reason comes from the person of Jesus in us and an diluted agenda. The Spirit brings life and truth as well as the holistic presence of Jesus to be expressed as us. Jesus is not only our Revealer of Truth. He is our life. He is the one who links us to the fellowship in the universe where all life germinates, is sustained and multiplied. Jesus is life Himself. So don’t try and make a life from shadows of life.

‘We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers’ 1 Tim 1.9 NIV. The life is Jesus is infinite, original life. Never a positive that exists to balance the negative. Jesus and His life is life itself.

Thus John writes, ‘In him was life, and the life was the light of men’ John 1.4 ESV. Then Paul declares, ‘For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible … and in him all things hold together’ Col 1.16,17 NIV. In Him you hold together, are whole, made one with the society of the saved and made part of the creation of God.

Jesus knows us intimately. We were known before we were created. Before the foundation of the world we received an identity from our Father and a purpose for being. These were embedded in our spirits and are the source of our dreams; of who we desire to be and what we long to accomplish. Much of Father's love to us is applied in revealing to us who we are and seeding into our hearts the kinds of things that bring us deep satisfaction since they are the real expression of who we are. This is why we need to take care about the counsel we receive. Avoid the influence of those who live out of performance rather than out of a life in the Spirit of Sonship. These can be workers and performers. They can reproduce rib-cages and torso, skeleton and mummified beings – but not sons and daughters of God. Those who live in life personified are life-giving spirits who multiply spirit-life in the sons of God.

'And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven' Matt 23.9 NIV.

God loves us by being who He is. We experience His love to the full when we respond to Him as He is rather than as He had been made out to be. We grow into our real identity in Father by growing as His sons. By advancing in the spirit of sonship we reveal the Father. There is a father of lies and a Father of the sons and daughters of God. We have a home in Father's heart that we must never let anyone deny.

'Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father' Gal 4.6 NIV.

Strong, kind men and women who are genuinely Godly live, move and have their being in a God who not only loves them. They know He delights in them. God is not Mr. Performance. He is not the Head Master of St Heavens Holy School. Neither is He a belief system or the projection of our doctrinal assumptions. He is who He is. He is the most personable, loving person there is. The exact expression of God's love is seen in Jesus His Son. Jesus is what the Father is: Love and its application to sinners who become transformed by His love into sons. George MacDonald writes,

"Good souls will one day be horrified at the things they now believe of God ... Such must take courage to forsake the false in any shape, to deny their old selves in the most seemingly sacred of prejudices, and follow Jesus, not as he
is presented in the tradition of the elders, but as he is presented by himself, his apostles, and the spirit of truth."
- George MacDonald (1824-1905).

The resurrected Jesus is the undoing of lies and the resurrection from all forms of death, deadness, numbness, stultification, false caution and fear mongering versions of holiness and religion posing as life. He declares, 'If you have seen me you have seen the Father!' The liberty of Christ is to be delivered from the body of death to the Body of Christ and union with God. Are you the upholder of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ? Have you seen the real Jesus? Jeff Turner writes,

"God would never be content with being represented and misunderstood, for these misrepresentations and misunderstandings are able to harm us in the most profound ways and can inspire us to act in ways altogether incongruent with God's nature. To redeem His image is to redeem us and to save his reputation is to save us" Jeff Turner in Saints in the Arms of a Happy God.
