EASTER IS NEW CREATION YOU
We can be assured that we dwell in the presence of God because God dwells with us and in us.
The bridge between ourselves and God is no work of our own and no abstraction. There is no mediator other than God in the person of Jesus Christ. The Bridge is God Himself. The kind of union that exists between the members of the trinity is the union that is between God and ourselves.
SIGN OF WHAT IS
The sacrament of the Lord’s Table is not what imbues us with the presence of God. We are already imbued and one with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This not because we have done something but because God has done everything needed in Himself. The Lord’s Table is a reminder and celebration of what is – Oneness with God. We are one substance with God – sons of God in Jesus Christ.
You are holy because God is holy and part of you as you are of God. You are not a God but you are a son/daughter of God by the one Spirit.
The issue of the ages is not will mankind keep God’s law. The issue is will human beings live in the union with God that is already theirs?
This was the issue of the fall and it is the issue that determines whether we live in Christ’s resurrected life or continue in Adam’s fall. We are one with God in Christ. By living in agreement with the mind and being of Christ we create the reality for ourselves that is His reality.
ONLY THROUGH GOD
Thomas Torrance writes, “‘Only through God is fellowship with God accessible to man.’ It is through this doctrine of the Trinity distilled from the New Testament witness that we are enabled to relate Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit intelligibly to the inmost Being and eternal Life of God, and thereby to deepen and strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour from its ultimate ground in God’s revelation of himself through himself.” (1) Aberrant theologies assume that union with God is our work.
ONE FLESH WITH JESUS, ONE SPIRIT WITH GOD
God is in us and with us. Not rattling around inside us like a ping-pong ball but woven into our being and we into His – in the same manner that the trinity are woven into each other. We are with God and we are the expression of God as the sons and daughters re-authenticated in the person of Jesus Christ.
