Being born again is the start of our life in God. It is often thought of as leaving behind our immoral ways and adopting the moral ways of God. What it really is, however, is allowing Jesus to put the religious us to death so that He can raise us to life in His life.
If we are living a moral life in the old covenant mindset we are not born again.
For Christians a true New Birth involves dying to our religion and rising to Christ our life. Once we know that our Kingdom life is Christ our life and not Jesus helping is to make a good fist of our life, we can become who we really are and be competent to minister a full gospel. A full gospel rather than an evangelist of a crippled gospel that multiplies spiritual cripples in the name of God.
Jesus is not the minister of an ideology or a program of morality. He is the witness to Himself, the IMPARTER OF HIS OWN PERSON and the Door by whom the trinity lives in us. To be a son/daughter is Jesus manifest as you. We are born again when Christ is our life.
BEGINNING OF AN UNFOLDING LIFE
Our new birth may be a significant milestone in the knowledge of God and ourselves but the real adventure occurs when it is the start of a life of rebirths as we progressively lay down myths and fables that we have carried as though they were the truth about God.
This has been well described by some as not having just one Easter but living an Easter Life of laying aside death and rising to new realms of grace and truth. Anyone who has a passion for life, which is a passion for Jesus will do better than one who is obsessed with maintaining their ideas or going into bat to maintain the stocks of their religious community. When we live in serial re-birth it can never be said that we betrayed ourselves or those to whom we minister.
DYING TO SACRED PREJUDICES
George MacDonald writes, “Many good souls will one day be horrified at the things they now believe of God…such must take courage to forsake the false in any shape, to deny their old selves in the most seemingly sacred of prejudices, and follow Jesus, not as he is presented in the tradition of the elders, but as he is presented by himself, his apostles, and the spirit of truth.” George MacDonald (1824-1905). CAREFUL WHAT YOU DRINK
All water is not living water. Contaminated water can cause many types of diarrheal diseases, including Cholera, and other serious illnesses such as Guinea worm disease, Typhoid, and Dysentery. Polluted water spreads spiritual disease. Living water is unadulterated Christ in you. As a manifestation of God; as a son/daughter you are a river of living water where you are. As such you have an apostolic witness to Jesus, the apostles and the spirit of truth.
