THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

BE A REAL SELF IN CHRIST

GLUM

Virginia Trioli wrote the following in a piece some time back, “It takes a lot of us a long time to figure out who we are and what we are here to do. I've often struggled to push aside other's expectations for me and constructions of me.” Speaking to Christians as I do in these posts I note that many Believers do not become who they really are in this life because they live from lesser christ’s and distorted gospels. One does not easily become a true self when those around us model legalism or when our parents school us in a contract style ‘accountants’ religion’.

SONSHIP IS REAL LIFE YOU
You will not get to be the real you if positioned in ‘another gospel’ such as the law and the old covenant. Which is unfortunate for the Kingdom because what Jesus gave us is advanced by sons of God living in spirit and in truth, rather than by notional persons living from a regime God has already left behind at the cross. We model the Kingdom as sons. Not as workers.

LORD’S TABLE LIVED
We begin the multiplication of spirit and life when we live Christ our life – the living of the incarnation and Christ in us. Christ come in our flesh means that we are the expression of Christ and a river of light/life to those who are not alive and alight. It’s the eucharist lived.  Martha-ism is a not a real Gospel. The oneness that is Mary in Christ is the way of spirit and life in anything we do. Mary was learning that she is only really alive and as a result  becoming a life-giver when Christ is our life as a result of atonement and incarnation. This is the Spirit of Christ come in your flesh manifesting as you and as us.

THE ALPHA AND OMEGA OF YOU
To be a real person, which is to say, an authentic rendition of yourself, you need to be an expression of the person of Christ and a son/daughter of God. This is not a ‘holy Joe’ thing. It’s simply Christ incarnated and expressed as George and Jean. We need not live from the knowledge of good and evil and its separatist assumptions and we need not live from the law and religion when we are being holy as God is holy. We live Christ our life. Stipulations and added precepts are abstractions and an affront to our inheritance that is Christ our life. Why live insulated from Christ by a mindset of religious nonsense? We live in the fullness of ourselves by living in the fullness of Christ – not in a glass half empty.

AUTHENTIC LIFE IN THE SPIRIT
Life in the Spirit is not life in the gifts added to the old covenant and the law. Life in the Spirit is oneness with Christ. This is our incarnated living. It’s our being enfolded in the being of God. It’s God woven into us and us woven into God. We are part of God and God is part of us. This is holiness and wholeness. It’s life-givers as Jill and Bill.

GOOD PASTORS DIE UNREALISED
One can become a moral self without becoming a real self. Sincere and Godly people die having lived out a religious representation of themselves – without ever having lived as their real selves. You have not been saved to be a peg board of virtues, a poster girl of Christian values or an intellectualised version of your theology. You are saved to be a son/daughter of God who is the expression of Christ and a manifestation of the fullness of God – AS YOU. The difference between the letter and the Spirit is Christ our life. The ‘letter’ is death no matter how much striving and sophistication is involved. Oneness with Christ is life with the satisfaction and rest of living water as us.

RESURRECTION IN YOU
Christ’s person is mediated directly to you. The being of the trinity is incarnated in you. Your part is to become your real self based on this truth.
The physical nature of the resurrection stresses the fact that one can live a resurrected, spiritually reborn life before physical death, while still having a personal identity as a personal self. Christian salvation is an incarnated spiritual life.”(1)

Jesus is not in us and with us to make us a religious person. He is in us so that we become the expression of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In other words, a son/daughter of God. God is directly in you and you have been woven directly into God. This is your identity and the means of your fruitfulness. It’s how you are a Life-Giver to those who are not alive and those who need the bread of life. It’s how we give the needy the bread of life as well as food, shelter and clothing in the Living Way.
